Founder and Creator
A Hawaiʻi native, born and raised on Molokaʻi, Sydney Kalipi grew up sewing ʻilima lei with her grandmother and fishing with her grandfather—traditions that instilled in her a deep appreciation for craftsmanship, heritage, and the beauty of island living.
Her connection to the ocean and passion for fashion led her to sewing, a skill she first taught herself before refining at UH Maui College’s Fashion Technology program. Rooted in the traditions of Hawaiʻi—where stories are passed down through lei, hula, and the art of craftsmanship—Sydney was inspired to weave these narratives into her designs.
